Learn to Paddle in Kotor, Montenegro

Paddling in Kotor

SUP Paddling, Kotor Montenegro

Paddling is a low-impact exercise that increases overall strength by engaging your entire body and improving your endurance.

Like kayaking, anyone can learn paddling in no time. Kotor Bay is a SUP paradise. It has a calm sea, which makes SUP paddling enjoyable and easy to master, even for beginners.

Concentrating on your balance, you will notice all of your other worries and stressors start to fade. Paddling on the water is an easy way to relax your mind and decompress. Being under the sun will increase your vitamin D. Sea water is full of essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium, which healthy skin needs. Therefore taking a swim during the activity is recommendable.

When stronger winds, the body on the board acts like a sail. That may cause us to start pushing ourselves in an unwanted direction. The simple solution is to kneel and continue paddling like before. That way, we reduce the wind resistance, like the guy in the picture above.

The Tour

The 2-hour tour starts in Muo, a small fishing village near the Old Town.

The English-speaking guide will guide you to the charming villages of Prcanj and Stoliv on the other side of the bay. The Stoliv has a beautiful beach with deep blue waters. Enjoy sunbathing and swimming once you arrive.

The Bay of Kotor is a history-rich place. Your guide will be sharing different stories with you.

Make sure you take a camera and create some stunning shots. On this tour, you will escape the crowded streets and see the Kotor Old Town from another angle.

The activity ends at the starting point.
